Beschreibung
Sardinia is famous for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, and amazing untouched nature… but that’s not all, folks! In fact, Sardinia has an amazing embroidery tradition for shawls embroidered with specific flower motifs and the famous Sardinian knotted stitch, with which it is possible to create amazing patterns on our knitted projects.
I have spent some time trying to adapt these stitches to suit knitwear, and I am finally ready to share this technique. I find it really interesting and intriguing because despite its ease of execution, thanks to its repetitiveness and the fact that it does not require much advance planning, it can truly add a magical touch to your garments, whether they are accessories, scarves, shawls or sweaters. We will work together on this stitch, following a pattern that I have designed specifically for this class. I will share an extensive handout with all the details about the stitch and its story and several different embroidery patterns.
