Andrea and Madeleine will give a 50-minute presentation on the story and journey of Fruity Knitting, including photos and video clips. Fruity Knitting began in March 2016 as a project between Andrea and her late husband, Andrew, but its roots trace back to Andrea’s childhood in Australia, where her mother and grandmother nurtured her passion for knitting and crafting. After health issues paused her music career, Andrea returned to knitting and started the YouTube channel Fruity Knitting. The show gained popularity for its tutorials, interviews, and high production values.
After Andrew’s passing in 2021, Andrea, with the support of their daughter Madeleine, has continued the channel, which has become a significant platform in the knitting community. Fruity Knitting has also opened doors for Andrea and Madeleine, allowing them to travel, meet inspiring individuals, and share many stories of how knitting has profoundly impacted people’s lives. Through their work, they have built a strong, supportive community that continues to grow and inspire.
After the presentation, Andrea and Madeleine will answer questions and enjoy meeting and chatting with the guests.
