The Ladder Back Jaquard is an ingenious technique when having long floats in your colourwork. You turn your floats into a “ladder” of interlocking stitches on the back side. This secures the floats and gives the piece impressive elasticity but it is invisible on the right side. We will be knitting a sample piece.

Yarn in two colours for colourwork knitting and circular needles in a size to match your yarn. Preferably worsted weight yarn but sports weight works as well

You should be used to colourwork knitting (knitting with two strands of yarn to create a pattern)
