Participants
Admission for workshop bookings:
When booking a workshop, daily admission for the participant is complimentary. This means that even if a person books multiple workshops, only that person receives free admission. This way, we can guarantee that workshop participants also have admission.
Cancellations for workshop bookings:
Up to 2 months before the event, 100% of the workshop fee will be refunded.
Up to 1 month before the event, 50% of the workshop fee will be refunded.
After 1 month, no refunds will be issued.
Workshop cancellations by the organization:
Workshops that do not reach the minimum number of participants will be cancelled 1 month before the festival begins. Participants will be informed and receive a full refund of their costs.
Cancellations for admission tickets:
There are no refunds for day or weekend tickets. These are non-cancellable.
Ticket delivery
Tickets will be sent by email after payment is received. Please also check your spam folder, as many email providers pre-sort emails.
Advance sales
Advance sales will close 1 week before the festival. For admission to the exhibitor hall, there will be a box office on site. Workshops can no longer be booked on site.
Exhibitors and Teachers
By submitting your application, you accept the following terms and conditions:
Teachers
The decision on participation rests with SYF and will be made up to 2 weeks after the application deadline.
In case of low workshop enrollment, SYF reserves the right to cancel a workshop. This applies to workshops that have not reached the minimum number of participants 1 month before the festival begins.
Workshops can be booked online in advance up to 1 week before the festival. Workshops cannot be booked directly at the festival.
Upon request, SYF will inform Teachers about the occupancy of a workshop. The workshops will be advertised on the SYF website and on social media.
For this, we need photos, which will either be provided by the Teachers, or we will use images from the respective Teachers’ social media accounts.
Conditions for Teachers
- Swiss Yarn Festival selects the workshops from the portfolio of applicants and schedules them for the festival. Requests regarding the day(s) and time(s) of execution will be considered, if possible.
- We offer 3-hour workshops. Full-day workshops are possible, provided that the premises and the overall workshop offering allow it.
- When applying, please indicate the maximum number of participants per workshop.
- When applying, please also indicate whether participantsneed to bring their own materials or if these will be provided.
- Compensation: For a 3-hour workshop, the Swiss Yarn Festival will pay compensation to the Teacher based on the number of participants. Travel expenses: the Swiss Yarn Festival will reimburse travel by arrangement
Accommodation: accommodation will be covered by SYF if
a) workshops are scheduled for multiple days and b) the Teacher has a travel distance of more than 80 km. - The organization of the premises is the responsibility of SYF.
- The workshops are offered on our website and can only be booked online. In case of low occupancy, SYF reserves the right to
cancel workshops at short notice. For organizational reasons, it is not possible to book workshops directly at the festival. Sales run
until one week before the festival.
Exhibitors
The decision on participation rests with SYF and will be made up to 2 weeks after the application deadline.
Upon receipt of the invoice and payment of the stand fee, participation is definitively confirmed. If our invoice is not paid within the
specified period, SYF may reassign the stand space without further notice.
Cancellations by exhibitors after our confirmation will unfortunately be charged the full amount.
Exhibitors from abroad: Please inquire with your customs offices about your options for transporting goods into and out of Switzerland. It is your decision how you wish to handle this. We disclaim any liability for customs duties and taxes.

Location
The SYF takes place at the Riverside Seminar- & Eventhotel, in Zweidlen-Glattfelden.
The stand does not need to be cleared overnight, as the hall will be locked.
Advertising
Advertising by exhibitors is welcome; each of us (SYF organization team as well as exhibitors) contributes to the success of the SYF.
Exhibitors will receive the flyer in electronic and paper form.
Various advertising channels are used, most intensively social media (please like and definitely share posts!)
Sales area
Depending on what has been booked, the desired space will be available for setup from 12:00 PM on Thursday afternoon.
The existing pillars in the room must sometimes be integrated into the stands; in this case, they may be “used” but not damaged (i.e., attaching exhibits only with string or adhesive tape). For a stand space against a wall, no nails, screws, etc., may be driven into the walls! Adhesive tape may also not be used on the walls. Any damages are at the expense of the exhibitor.
All products must be marked with a price tag, and the company name/label must be clearly visible at the stand.
No food may be sold at the stand.
The SYF:
- assigns the stand space (requests unfortunately cannot be accommodated)
- sets up the tables in advance
- does not guarantee sales
- disclaims any liability
Insurance and any tax matters are the responsibility of the exhibitors.

Setup:
Thursday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Exhibition hours:
Friday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Cleanup:
Sunday from 3:00 PM
It is not permitted to clean up earlier.
Cleanup & Waste
We ask you to pack up quickly; tables and chairs may remain at the stand.
Packaging materials and other waste must be disposed of by the exhibitors themselves.
Loading/Unloading Goods
At Riverside, the supplier entrance behind the building can be used for loading and unloading goods. SYF will direct you; we ask you to load and unload quickly and then park your car so there is space for the next exhibitors.
Parking for Exhibitors
Free parking spaces are available; SYF resp. Riverside will assign you a parking space.
