Description
Discover different methods to incorporate letters and words into your personal knitting technique. Learn how to create pixel fonts or other fonts by means of lifting stitches, shadow knitting or patchwork knitting. Learn the different steps for translating fonts to knitting patterns using an example.
At the beginning of the course you will get an overview of the typeknitting book and possible links to your previous knitting projects. Afterwards we will concentrate on patchwork knitting as a technique to construct single letters. We knit test patches, learn to knit letter segments, sketch letters and see in which order the letters are knitted. Once these basic principles are clear, you will be able to transfer them to larger formats such as pillows and blankets.
