Description
Many of us want to create our own garments because we are not happy with the fit of store-bought items. But knitting patterns for sweaters, cardigans and tops often pose the same challenge as the clothes we find in department stores: they are constructed with smaller to medium cup sizes in mind. Simply choosing a larger size is not an ideal solution. A full bust adjustment is required, but the math can seem a bit scary. In this workshop we lok at various kinds of bust darts which can be applied to all sorts of projects, whether top down or bottom up, seamless or seamed. We carefully take the measurements that are needed for the individual calculations, so that everyone can go home with her own personal “booby formula”.
This workshop is mainly aimed at knitters with a bit of experience with garments. However it is also suitable if you have never knitted a garment before and don’t mind a bit of maths.
I will provide worksheets, and participants will receive a PDF file with a helpful summary after the class.
