You have a hard time with English instructions and look longingly at the many beautiful models? English is not only one of the biggest world languages. English is also the most represented in knitting instructions. The variety of English instructions is much greater than from other languages. The search on Ravelry shows the following (as of November 2018):
German: 61,808 instructions
English: 719’447 instructions
School English is already buried or you never had English lessons? It takes some effort to knit according to instructions in another language. But you will be rewarded for your courage with a great project and you will be able to knit further instructions in the new instruction language.
The workshop will give you a basic understanding of the structure and language of English instructions. I will show you how to knit an English tutorial with a little diligence and adventurousness, even if you don’t know English.
