More about Soie et Laine
At Soie et Laine, everything revolves around the magic of colour and the art of hand-dyeing. We produce hand-dyed wool in Switzerland, known for its vibrant, intense shades. Each of our yarns is a small work of art, captivating through the harmonious combination of colours and nuances – from soft pastels to bold, expressive bursts of colour. The result is a palette that inspires you to bring your knitting and crochet projects to life.
Our wool is hand-dyed in small batches, making each dye lot a distinctive one-of-a-kind. With every colour, we tell a story – inspired by nature, art and the many impressions of our surroundings. Whether you prefer subtle tones or daring colour combinations, you’ll find the perfect yarn for your individual creations with us.
Visit us at the Swiss Yarn Festival and let yourself be enchanted by the brilliant colours and soft texture of our hand-dyed wool. With Soie et Laine, you can bring every project to life in the most beautiful colours of the rainbow!

Bettina Brings Color to Wool
A colorful thread runs through Bettina’s life—in the truest sense of the word. Her passion for knitting and design is reflected in every single one of her hand-dyed yarns.
One-of-a-Kind Pieces Straight from the Dye Pot
Bettina loves playing with colors and fine materials. Steering clear of rigid formulas, she dyes exclusively in small, manageable batches. The result? Truly one-of-a-kind pieces that can never be replicated exactly. Her focus is consistently on quality and responsibility: she uses only sustainably produced and fair-trade yarns in her dye pots, transforming them into unique color variations.
Knitting Patterns That Use Up All Your Yarn
Bettina’s original designs were born out of her experience knitting without patterns. She offers perfectly coordinated yarn combinations for these creative designs. What makes her designs special is that they’re conceived so that the yarn is used up almost entirely. This keeps the dreaded “leftover box” empty, and every gram of yarn finds its place in the finished garment.
Come visit us at the Swiss Yarn Festival!
Let yourself be inspired by the magic of hand-dyed wool and experience the vibrant colors in person. Visit our booth at the Swiss Yarn Festival—one thing is for sure: you won’t be going home empty-handed!

Meisterstücke
More about Meisterstücke
When I dye yarns and gather punchy ideas for new creations, I can never predict exactly what will actually come out of this play with colour in the end. This joy in the unexpected, this excitement, is what makes dyeing yarns so appealing.
It’s important to me that my creations are wearable for everyone and highlight personality. Colourful, bold, extravagant, stylish and sustainable: these qualities define my hand-dyed yarns. I want to show that tradition and innovation, knitting and chic, are no longer opposites.
With us, you’ll find only mulesing-free wool yarns from sustainable farming that strictly respects animal welfare. Every skein, every ball in our range is personally hand-dyed in our workshop; all yarns are one-of-a-kind and stand out for top quality and their individual character.
Yours, Christiane Meister
