Description
This class is part demonstration with AV presentation and short lecture about 3D knitwear in hand knitting approach, and all inspiration process. It will be part swatch-fest and all inspiration. Present my 3D design philosophy, and gearing to your own discovery of knitwear in a new light!
Skills learned:
- Introductory lecture on several basic principles of dimensional texture used inknitwear.
- Learning cast on and bind off varieties for stretchy edging and its purpose for dimensional knitwear.
- Learning to work partial knitting and short rows and their differences.
- Swatching a series of techniques and reviewing all the possibilities.
- Make either Ginga Cowl or Moko-Moko Cowl or Goji Cow

none, unless working on either cowl pattern. Work Provisional Crochet Chain cast on for either cowl of your choice

For swatching: 2-3 colors of 200 yds / 183 m of worsted weight yarn for swatching, US 6 (4 mm) needle, US 7 (4.5 mm) needle
For Moko-Moko Cowl
340 yds / 311 m of any worsted weight wool, US 7 (4.5 mm) needle and a spare needle, Crochet hook F (3.75mm), Waste yarn in smooth texture and similar weight
For Ginga Cowl
270 yds / 247 m of smooth texture of worsted weight in light or bright color for MC; 270 yds / 247 m of smooth texture of worsted weight in light or bright color for CC; US 7 (4.5 mm) circular, 24” long, Crochet hook (size H or larger), Stitch marker, Tapestry needle, Waste yarn in smooth texture and similar weight
For Goji Cowl
569 yds / 520 m of any other non-superwash worsted weight yarn, US 6 (4 mm) circular, 24-36” / 60-92 cm and 2 spare circular needles in same size or smaller, Crochet hook size G (4 mm), Removable marker, Waste yarn in smooth texture and similar weight
